Dem Women 76th Anniversary
Dem Women celebrated their 76th anniversary as an organization at the meeting on May 24th. This was shortly before abandoning sex discrimination by changing the bylaws and title. As you can see, the ladies were proud and the cake was beautiful. Click here for more.

March, 2010 Speaker  Darrel Henschell, Canadian, spoke on Comparison between Canadian and US health care.

The February, 2010 speaker was Janine Parry, Associate Professor of Political Science, University of Arkansas, who explained the Arkansas poll and how it works.   (no pic available)
 
January, 2010 Speaker  Chris Knife, Director of Major Gifts for AR Youth Ranch, gave information and statistics of Youth Ranch programs and how financial assistance is used to care for and educate  boys and girls at several sites across the state.

Also at the January meeting, Roberts Sisters, Lucile and Mary Margaret, received the 2010 Agnes Williams Democratic Woman of the Year award, presented by Mary Lee Hay, Past President of BCDWC.
