While we as an organization are not able to directly contribute to Democratic campaigns*, we encourage our members to do so. If you do not already have a free login at https://actblue.com, you should set one up, as this is by far the easiest way to contribute to multiple Democratic campaigns and causes. You can define either a credit card or PayPal as a payment method and define an "ActBlue Express Profile" to allow you to make "express" contributions without having to supply much additional information. ActBlue also allows you to set up recurring contributions, so be sure to indicate if asked that you are making a one-time contribution, not a recurring one, if that is your intent.
Not only should you contribute to Democratic candidates for whom you can vote in November; but if you are able, support other Democratic candidates in Benton County and in Arkansas to encourage future candidates to run. Any activity that increases Democratic registration and voter turnout State-wide will have beneficial long-term effects.
You can verify your voting registration status and what districts are associated with your registration address at https://www.voterview.ar-nova.org/VoterView
Democratic candidates for Benton County JP Districts
Links for campaign information and donations for the 6 Benton County JP Districts (3, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9) with Democratic candidates may be found on the DP of BC website here. (If the ActBlue link for Jocelyn Lampkin JP9 is still omitted, it can be found in a March 24 post on her Facebook page).
Democratic Candidates for Arkansas and Federal Races
Links to campaign information and ActBlue contribution links for Democratic candidates for other races relevant to Benton County can be found at the DP of BC website here. This include the AR Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Auditor, Commissioner of State Lands, U.S. House District 3, U.S. Senate, and 6 State Representative Districts: 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, and 18 (only a small part of 18 is in Benton County). There are unfortunately no Democratic candidates for the State Senate districts that cover Benton County (32, 33, 34, 35).
(If the ActBlue donation link for the Auditor candidate, Diamond Johnson, hasn't yet been corrected, check her "Campaign & Event Information" link instead)
While the positions of Attorney General and Secretary of State are less glamorous than the Governorship, they assume additional importance given the increasing tendency of the Republican party to attack voting rights and to use government to impose their religious dogmas on those who hold other religious beliefs.
*BCDems is not currently registered as an AR PAC
